Brooklyn Putnam
Hello! I am Brooklyn Putnam, a Civics teacher at Dorman Freshman Campus. I graduated from USC Upstate and have a master's of Instructional Design and Learning Technology from Anderson University and I am working on my EdD in Leadership and Innovation. I love my subject and its purpose. Civics is an important part of a student's education and useful for their adult lives. Civics integrates many subjects - history, government, language arts, and more! Students will learn how the government functions, how government impacts our lives, and how important it is to be an educated and involved citizen. Students will make real-world connections and learn useful information that will guide to becoming active and informed citizens.
Key themes:
- What are my rights as a citizen?
- Who has a voice in our society?
- How can I contribute to my community?
- How can I stay informed?
